Mercury Private is a boutique wealth creation and management firm specialising in servicing clients in the medical, dental and legal professions. Although only established in May 2015, our key staff have known each other and worked together for many years, and client relationships are often long-standing, some extending back over 25 years. A strong sense of continuity therefore pervades the business, which otherwise benefits from a vitality typical of a start-up.
Our aim is to be “the trusted adviser” for each of our clients and where we are the primary source of (or conduit to) professional advice. We are serious about adding value for the client in everything we do. In order to do this we form a deep understanding of each client and their needs over time. We meet with clients at least a couple of times a year and often more where required. Our staff remuneration policies reinforce our views on transparency and conflicts of interest, etc. We seek to maintain a highly collegiate work environment, where effort is rewarded via salaries, not sales incentives.

Our client base is unique in the Australian financial services industry – three quarters are drawn from the medical, legal and dental professions with the balance being corporate executives, entrepreneurs and self-funded retirees (mainly from the aforementioned occupations). In many cases client relationships extend over several generations of the same family.
We offer a comprehensive and integrated range of (financial) services designed, for those clients who want them, to offer a “one stop shop”, invariably leading to more efficient outcomes. We have our own AFSL and we have a strong network of alliances and relationships with product issuers and other financial institutions to broaden our reach and capabilities.
